I hope you all had a very enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. We had a great weekend.

My husband and I had our monthly date night Friday. We went to dinner and then saw Thor in 3D. It was the first movie I've seen in 3D. My husband and I both thought it was kind of like looking at a ViewMaster. I thought the movie was pretty good-- although (and this is not spoilery) they had a whole lot of story they were trying to tell, so it felt rushed in a lot of places. But overall, fun. And Chris Hemsworth is very pretty.

Saturday I didn't have to go anywhere. Hooray!

Sunday morning we went to church and my Mom took the girls home with her to spend the night. Sunday night we made filet mignon for dinner. I can't even tell you how nice it was to have a quiet dinner at home. Very relaxing.

Monday morning we attacked the garage. It's gotten pretty bad-- lots of boxes with the girls' old clothes and toys, and really just a bunch of trash. Our old entertainment center is against the back wall enclosed by a lot of boxes. We weren't able to unearth it yesterday, but we made a lot of headway. I'm hoping we can get to the entertainment center next time so I can clean it up and put it on Craigslist.

After that, Mom brought the girls back and the rest of my family came over. We grilled burgers and hot dogs, and I made potato salad, baked beans, and a pound cake for dessert. A fine time was had by all.
